Crozier Continues Expansion with Acquisition of LA Packing
Los Angeles – October 11, 2018 – Crozier, an Iron Mountain Incorporated® (NYSE: IRM) business and a global leader in fine art storage and logistics, has announced today the acquisition of L.A. Packing, Crating and Transport, Inc. (LA Packing), a privately held, fine art and logistics provider in Los Angeles.
Established in 1978 by Jimmy Isenson, LA Packing has grown and evolved with the ever-changing demands of the art industry. With two locations in Los Angeles – serving the downtown art district and Culver City, as well as a bi-weekly service to San Francisco – LA Packing has become one of the most respected art services providers on the West Coast.
“The acquisition of LA Packing marks an important milestone for Crozier. By joining our organizations, bringing together two client-focused world-class art service providers and empowering them with unprecedented scale, capability and scope,” said Tom Hale, SVP and General Manager of Crozier. “We look forward to working with the highly experienced, professional team at LA Packing to continue to bring our collective clients the highest level of service.”
This transaction comes on the heels of the acquisition of Artex Fine Art Services in July of this year, marking a milestone for Crozier and providing the company with unprecedented coverage and offerings in the North American market. The LA Packing facility will be Crozier’s fifth location in Los Angeles, bringing the total number of North American facilities to 17.
For more than 40 years, Crozier has provided comprehensive storage, logistics, crating, handling, and installation services to a diverse roster of clients in the art world. Today, Crozier has expanded to become the largest full-service art storage and logistics organization in North America, managing projects and controlling approximately 1.3 million square feet of storage and a fleet of 90 specialized vehicles across North America.
Based in New York, Crozier is an industry-leader in art storage and logistics and an advocate for worldwide commercial standards. A component of the Adjacent Businesses segment within Iron Mountain Incorporated (NYSE: IRM), Crozier provides services that support the art management lifecycle, from initial purchase to final sale, including secure storage, climate-controlled vaults, private viewing galleries, consultation, installation, project management services, and international shipping capabilities for art industry professionals and collectors all over the world.
