Crozier Marks UK Expansion, Acquires Christie’s Park Royal Warehouse
London – October 15, 2018 – Crozier, an Iron Mountain Incorporated® (NYSE: IRM) company and a global leader in fine art storage and logistics, has announced the acquisition of Christie’s Park Royal Warehouse and that it will be taking over the operations for that site beginning 15 October 2018. The exponential growth of the art market has fueled Crozier’s expansion from its New York City roots to provide full-service, global solutions to clients invested in the art world. The Park Royal facility will be Crozier’s first London location, joining its 17 existing facilities in North America and adding to its global expansion efforts.
“We are delighted to partner with Christie’s on this project and to work with their highly experienced team to bring the best solutions for our respective clients. This acquisition advances a number of strategic priorities for Crozier including growing our footprint internationally, welcoming more clients from the UK, and providing best-in-class services,” said Simon Hornby, President of Crozier. “Despite Brexit, we have great confidence in the art market in London and see this as a wonderful opportunity to deliver on the needs of our clients and to expand our operations in both the UK and Europe.”
Crozier has named Graham Bence as General Manager for Park Royal. Graham formerly served as Head of Art Fairs for White Cube Gallery in London. In his new role, he will be overseeing the operations and business development for Crozier’s new Park Royal site. Crozier will maintain the Christie’s employees from Park Royal, who will directly report to Graham Bence. The acquisition of Park Royal comes on the heels of the purchase of LA Packing, Crating and Transport this month and Artex Fine Art Services in July of this year, marking a milestone for Crozier and providing the company with unprecedented coverage and offerings in the North American market.
For over forty years Crozier has provided comprehensive storage, logistics, crating, handling, and installation services to a diverse roster of clients in the art world. Today, Crozier has expanded to become the largest full-service art storage and logistics organization in the industry, managing projects in 53 countries and controlling over 1.3 million square feet of storage and a fleet of 90 specialized vehicles across North America.
Based in New York, Crozier is an industry-leader in art storage and logistics and an advocate for worldwide commercial standards. A component of the Adjacent Businesses segment within Iron Mountain Incorporated (NYSE: IRM), Crozier provides services that support the art management lifecycle, from initial purchase to final sale, including secure storage, climate-controlled vaults, private viewing galleries, consultation, installation, project management services, and international shipping capabilities for art industry professionals and collectors all over the world.
