A Legacy of Innovation
Originally opened in 1909 as the Queens Boulevard Factory for the Packard Motor Company, the Packard Motor Building stands as a landmark of industrial architecture. Designed by Albert Kahn, the building was the first to use cast concrete construction with mushroom column design, an innovation that created the expansive open interiors that continue to define the space today.
Now, more than a century later, the Packard Building has taken on a new purpose as it becomes Crozier’s new global hub, preserving its place in New York’s industrial history while supporting the future of art storage, stewardship, and logistics.
"This flagship facility represents a defining moment for Crozier. By housing our global operations within this landmark space, we are merging a century of industrial heritage with the future of preservation technology. Backed by the unmatched resources of Iron Mountain, our 30-year commitment here is more than an investment, it is a promise of permanence and excellence to the clients who entrust us with their legacy."— James Hendy, Senior Vice President and General
